Automation Technician I, you will maintain and repair an automated
material handling system. In this role, you will be responsible for
maintaining continuous system operation by troubleshooting, repairing,
testing, and performing preventive maintenance activities. Job
Description Pay is based on experience ranging from $23-34 Maintain all
systems and subsystems of the automated material handling system during
normal operation and perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and
inspections during periodic downtime windows. Be able to use schematic
and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot autonomous robotic vehicles and
other components of an advanced integrated automation system Ensure
rapid equipment return to serviceability by performing a thorough
in-depth troubleshooting on any non-functioning or faulted system,
subsystem or component. Keep Management informed of specific problems
and suggested actions, including approximate time required for repairs
through defined escalation and communication procedures Remove and
replace mechanical or electro-mechanical parts of the conveyor system
such as: broken chain, belting, rollers drive motors, realigning or
replacing control system sensors (photo-eyes), proximity, etc. Replace
electrical or mechanical components of autonomous robots and perform
preventive maintenance. Be proficient in performing Preventive
Maintenance on multi-axis robots and End Of Arm Tools. Be proficient
with conveyor maintenance including Preventive Maintenance (PM) actions
on automated conveyor equipment as directed. Document repairs, PMs,
parts usage, and time by completing work orders in a computerized
maintenance data collection system (Maximo). Responsible for cleanup of
equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs
are completed. Environment Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
Warehouse: Freezer (-20F to 0F) Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28F to
60F) Skills Can demonstrate ability to use basic hand tools and
electrical measuring equipment. Ability to use and navigate computers
and common computer software Physical abilities: Equipment inspections,
mechanical repairs and replacements, electrical repairs and
replacements, all of which require good mobility, physical exertion,
walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, carrying tools and parts,
etc. Ability to work independent of supervisor following procedures and
manuals and a high sense of urgency; Proficient in performing all
inspection functions; Safely carries out work assignments following all
company, state and federal regulations. Years Of Experience 1-3 years:
Electro-mechanical field or equivalent education. 1-3 years: Industrial
