Maintenance Coordinator

– Location: Blairsville, PA
– Payrate: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour
– Schedule: Monday — Friday, 7:00 AM — 3:00 PM

The Maintenance Coordinator installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

– Performs and documents maintenance work as described on the Preventative Maintenance Schedules. Maintenance employee confers with production and other departments to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation of establishment.
– Trouble shoots and repairs equipment and facility as needed to support overall operation. Works with equipment manufacturers and outside contractors to achieve.
– Estimates costs of personnel, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled or emergency maintenance.
– Helps develop and coordinates plans for reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery, or buildings. Installs new equipment or dismantles obsolete as needed.
– Reviews manufacturers service manuals, establishment usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
– Sets up and operates machine tools such as a grinder, drill press, saws, pipe thread, conduit bender and measuring devises tape measure, calipers, and dial indicator.
– Trouble shoots and repairs equipment and facility as needed to support overall operation.  Works with equipment manufacturers and outside contractors to achieve.
– The employee also will shovel drains and shovel sidewalks in the winter. 
– Performs duties as one of the emergency coordinators. 

 Qualifications and Requirements:

– Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Skills needed may consist of mechanical, electrical, electronic, plumbing, general construction and building maintenance tasks.
– Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
– Worker shall supply own tools and electrical testing equipment.
