Maintenance Technician

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment.
2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
3. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
4. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities; often during extended service hours such as weekends or modified schedules.
5. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
6. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
7. Other tasks as specified by management
Qualifications:
1. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
2. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
3. Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
4. Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
5. A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
6. Responsible and trustworthy
7. Read and understand work instructions / quality procedures.
8. Tolerate strong smelling solvents
9. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
10. Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
11. Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.
12. Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department, or line of business.
