Work as a member of a projects engineering team to design, implement and manage network infrastructure and services in on premise data centers and cloud environments

Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to complex problems

Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks

Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability

Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network infrastructure

​Lead projects in relation to design and provisioning of network infrastructure and security components

Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

Coach and mentor less-experienced professionals

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

BA/BS or equivalent and 5 years of experience or equivalent years of experience

Proven work experience as a Network Engineer

Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or willingness to obtain

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Extensive experience with network infrastructure documentation

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing technology environment.

Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VPLS and MPLS

Experience with multi-tenant network architectures

Strong knowledge of BGP routing protocols, including route manipulation, redistribution, and filtering.

Experience with multiple firewall vendors: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco

Advanced knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as OSPF, MPLS, VRF, IPsec, GRE, and SSL.

Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience supporting spine-leaf data center network architecture using VxLAN; Cisco ACI

Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Cloud infrastructure deployment and support; AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM

Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques

Experience with Terraform or Python automation for network infrastructure management

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 – $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
