Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of financial recordkeeping related to the cash transactions of the hospital. Maintains all bank reconciliations. Ensures all necessary bank wires and transfers are completed. Main objective will be to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records and to maintain the integrity of our financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure proper recording of all banking cash transactions for the hospital, including deposits, payments, wires, and transfers.
2. Reconcile bank accounts and process journal entries for all cash related transactions
3. Monitor and report on the accuracy and timeliness of all cash transactions
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cash related activities
5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure payments are being applied properly to the general ledger
6. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of cash handling procedures
8. Communicates with management personnel and others or other assigned accounting matters, as needed.
9. Takes an active role in self-development
10. Maintains confidentiality and integrity of Protected Health Information or “PHI”
11. Performs other duties as needed
Other Information:
Education Requirements:
• 2 years of Accounting experience is required if incumbent does not have a degree, or degree is in field other than Accounting.
