Are you an experienced Purchasing Assistant with a talent for staying organized? Are you looking to join a dynamic and growing textile manufacturing company? Experience with SAP is preferred

salary: $17 – $18 per hour

work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM

Responsibilities

Collaborates with the purchasing manager to oversee the purchasing department.

Conducts vendor research and selection to improve profitability, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.

Maintains positive relationships with vendors and oversees their activities.

Reviews and signs purchasing agreements, monitors vendor performance, and renegotiates contracts as needed.

Utilizes quarterly and annual data to assess purchasing needs and manage inventory.

Manages purchase orders, monitors shipping schedules, and maintains accurate purchase records.

Coordinates with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders, identifying any discrepancies.

Performs ongoing market research to find favorable purchasing agreements and new vendor opportunities.
