Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician – Light Fixture Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician with expertise in light fixture maintenance to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all light fixtures within our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of light fixtures to identify any issues or malfunctions.
Replace, repair, or upgrade light fixtures as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Troubleshoot electrical problems related to light fixtures and take appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain an inventory of light fixtures and related components, ensuring adequate supply levels at all times.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections, using electronic or paper-based systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of light fixtures and minimize downtime.
Assist with other facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical systems and equipment.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in electrical systems preferred.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a focus on light fixture maintenance and repair.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and climbing.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record may be required.
