A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
In this role, you will develop and continuously improve core injection manufacturing processes. Troubleshoots process problems and provides technical support to manufacturing to ensure timely delivery of conforming core products to downstream processes. Engages with process & product engineers within the core technical team as well as the casting team!
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
Applies process knowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and creativity as vital to developing processes and parameters that result in the production of cores that meet customer specifications
Reviews customer specifications and develops processes and documentation to achieve them
Establishes and maintains statistical process control in assigned areas
Monitors yield and efficiency in assigned areas
Collaborates with appropriate teams to implement improvements (efficiency, safety, yield)
Collaborates with the training team to develop efficient and effective training content and provides direction to appropriate teams for tooling improvements.
What You Bring (requirements)
BS in Materials or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
10 years experience in manufacturing (technical and/or leadership role preferred)
Minimum 3 years experience in injection molding,wax or ceramic required (ceramic strongly preferred)
Experience writing work instructions and providing training, with preferred knowledge of thermal processing of ceramic cores and visual/dimensional inspection
Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and customer specifications, and effectively present information to diverse audiences
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and applying mathematical concepts to practical situations

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
