This is a job for a Safety Coordinator position with a company located in the Ellisville, MS area.
What you will enjoy doing: In this role, you will assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management. You will maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation in compliance with company procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including preparing reports. You will work with a collaborative team to provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management. This position supports administering, maintaining and training on HSE programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, etc. In this position, you will observe and model the safe culture, but adhering to all safety requirements, and proactively working with leaders and employees to promote a Safety-First culture.
What makes you great: You will possess a Minimum High School Diploma or GED, and 5 years of related experience. If you have an Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or 2 years experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position, that is preferred but not required. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires exceptional Organizational skills. It is preferred that you have technical writing experience.
