Future caregivers may work at any of our NE Ohio locations based on business needs. These include, but are not limited to, Main Campus, Fairview Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, Independence or Akron General.
Application submission is for Financial Analyst I, II, III and Senior Financial Analyst opportunities within our Corporate Financial Operations and Planning Department. Analysts will be placed primarily in one of the areas but will operate in a matrixed role where there is access and project/operational work in each of the areas throughout the department. The goal is to develop well-rounded candidates who will develop into future finance leaders within the organization.
The Corporate Financial Operations & Planning Department is responsible for:
Support of core financial processes including the annual operating budget, long range financial forecast and month-end close activities.
The finance support model for institutes, family health centers, Ohio regional hospitals and shared service divisions.
Project based work supporting organizational initiatives, performance improvement, capital budgeting, strategic business planning and mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:
Prepares, analyzes and communicates key financial information.
Provides support to management and other staff members regarding financial reporting and other issues.
Assists with budget preparation, budget review for compliance and financial planning processes.
Consults with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
Performs special projects and duties related to research, forecasting and conflict resolution as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
Masters degree preferred.
Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Account (CMA) certification preferred.
Complexity of Work:
Requires decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Ability to complete sophisticated analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills, and the ability to lead projects and people.
Strong understanding of key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development.
Work Experience:
Minimum four years financial or revenue cycle management or general analytical experience.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Offset: Masters degree and three years of experience.
Offset: Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may offset one year of required experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $27.65
Maximum hourly: $42.17
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidates actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidates work history, experience, skill set, and education.
