Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

As the Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our production department. This position is designed for candidates with some experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment who are looking to further develop their skills and responsibilities. You will work closely with senior management to ensure production processes run efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety regulations.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $25.00 – $26.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Essential Job Functions

Production Oversight:

Plan and schedule production activities to meet production targets, customer demands, and deadlines.

Coordinate with production team members, senior supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Monitor production processes to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.

Team Leadership:

Lead and supervise a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues.

Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and safety.

Quality Control:

Assist in performing Root Cause/5Y analysis to determine reason(s) for production downtime and NPR issues.

Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.

Address quality issues promptly, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure associate compliance with 5S initiatives.

Conduct safety training sessions, promote safety awareness, and actively participate in safety initiatives.

Identify and mitigate risks related to production processes, equipment, and workplace hazards.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare production reports, including performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Utilize data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Communicate findings, recommendations, and action plans to senior management and stakeholders.

Education/Experience

Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred).

3 years of supervisory experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment

Lean, 5S experience preferred.

Strong leadership and communication skills preferred.

Experience in the Automotive Industry is highly desirable but not required.

Proficiency in MS Office, production management software, and data analysis tools.
