General Duties:
1. Troubleshoot and repair production line equipment.
2. Inspect, maintain repair and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state electrical equipment, using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment.
3. Provides maintenance services ensuring that all equipment is in good repair and in a safe operating condition
4. Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards.
5. Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for Project facilities and productionequipment.
6. Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations.
7. Determine the existence of electrical hazards and problems. Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs.
8. Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and related equipment.
9. Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work.
10. Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate wiring.
11. Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels.
12. Install and maintain drive systems such as variable frequency drives, eddy current, and DC drives. Install and maintain programmable logic control systems (PLC). Interpret and/or modify PLC control logic as necessary. Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls.
13. Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, including electronic controls, meters, outlets, and panels.
14. Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment. Maintain records, update drawings, and develop safety procedures.
15. Other duties as assigned in support of the plant Maintenance departments.
Job Qualifications:
1. Industrial / commercial electrical background with high-speed production line experience.
2. Must have working knowledge of all areas of maintenance and advanced mechanical ability.
3. Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to read blueprints, layout, install & maintain a wide variety of new and existing electrical equipment and processes troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing & electrical controls
5. Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures and conditions.
6. Must have good working knowledge of Program Logic Controllers (PLC).
7. Must be able to provide the required tools at personal expense.
8. Must be able to use multi meter accurately and safely.
9. 3-5 years of experience in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of production line equipment.
10. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including high-voltage switchgear, protective relaying, grounding procedures, personal protective equipment requirements, safety procedures, and electrical test equipment.
11. Ability to work unscheduled hours during emergency and/or unusual situations (24 hour/ 7 days week when needed).
12. Knowledge of computer software/hardware with programming basics highly desirable.
