Job Description

Cintas is seeking an Associate Technical Designer. Responsibilities include measuring and preparing samples for fit sessions to ensure an organized fitting and accurate data gathering; organizing all aspects of the fit sssions (including participant scheduling and survey generation); creating technical sketches for tech packages and construction reviews; communicating with Design and Technical Design on project requirements to meet customer deadlines; developing accurate tech packages and patterns for specific rental products; reviewing samples against established standards and proposing approval verdicts for production; assisting with customer research and fit trials; managing the organization of fit, production, competitor and retail samples; supporting Cintas Sourcing efforts with re-sourced product reviews; participate in customer visits, photo shoots, wear trials and sales training.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

Associate Degree in Fashion Design or Pattern Engineering, preferred

3 years experience in apparel technical design and pattern development

Knowledge of garment construction and sewing terminology

Patternmaking, grading and drapin

Understanding of quality standards for garment construction

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), intranet/internet, Adobe Illustrator

Ability to travel

Valid drivers license

Preferred

Technical and illustrated sketching ability

Experience with Accumark 8.2.2 or higher

Experience with Gerber WebPDM, PLM or similar
