About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Industrial Base Organization and Maintenance Integration Directorate (IBO MID), MNT INT DIV. Future vacancies may be filled in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) in Warren, MI and Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI. Responsibilities Performs authoring of technical publication content for new and revised publications in accordance with applicable military standards and regulations. Instructs technical writing community in utilizing extensible Markup Language (XML) coding in the publications process. Advises technical writing community on regulations and policies governing publications process. Establishes, develops, and maintains liaison/relationships with other center organizational elements, command organizations, higher headquarters and subordinate team members to execute Electronic Publications Mission. Coordinates the development of publications training policy, implementation plans, programs of instruction, and standard operating procedures required to provide support to the various user organizations within the Publication missions. Acts as information broker among the technical writer community and the various PM offices and user representatives. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) developing or teaching publications-related topics; and 2) development and publishing of extensible Markup Language (XML) source data content; and 3) utilizing Publications Standards and Regulations to formulate new material; and 4) managing or overseeing publications development contracts.
