TITLE: Food Bank Warehouse Coordinator
SUPERVISOR: Food Director
SUPERVISES: No one
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time (40 hours per week)
STARTING WAGE: $14.50

JOB GOAL: The goal of the Food Bank Warehouse Coordinator is to pick up food products from local donors and deliver to MCOP. Maintain proper inventory levels, placing orders, cleaning warehouse and processing paperwork. Operating a truck and pallet jack.

DUTIES:

– Perform routine maintenance procedures for the food bank truck and hi-lo equipment.
– Transport and supervise warehouse volunteers.
– Maintain warehouse so that it is clean and everything is stored safely.
– Pack Emergency Food Boxes for distribution.
– Collaborate/Coordinate with all food closets, CSFP and TEFAP distribution sites.
– Responsible for receiving food deliveries, unloading deliveries and stocking food in the warehouse.
– Responsible for inventory of all food programs.
– Responsible for making sure the CSFP and TFAP distribution sites have the food necessary to serve their clients.
– Provide necessary departmental performance data for reports and grants.
– Maintain paperwork as required by Gleaners for PDO relationship.
– Responsible for picking up donation from farmers, grocery stores, food drives, etc.
– Responsible for other food donation pickups and food drives as needed.
– Comply with Federal Privacy Act Regulation.
– Other duties as requested by the Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or its equivalent, prefer some experience in warehouse environments and customer service. Experience with materials handling equipment, including hi-lo and pallet jack. Heavy lifting and working in temperature extremes is a requirement of this position. Require chauffeurs license. Must have access to vehicle during working hours and a good driving record.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Regular Full-Time (40 hours per week). This position is a union position. Candidate will operate at MCOP Central Office, 1140 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI 48161.
