Job Title: Painter
Job Description
Select appropriate paint or mix paints using automated paint mixing equipment. Operate hand-held spray guns or other mechanized painting or product coating equipment. Paint small items or apply touch-ups using paint brushes. Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which may include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), hand tools, and a tape measure. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturers instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs and complete the daily check sheets. Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures. Maintain level of work performance in accordance with company standards and/or job order specifications. Participate in process and product development and improvement programs, teams, and safety committees. Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Bridgman, Michigan.
Work Environment
PPE required for this position, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots with metatarsal guards, face shield, potential respirator. The company is aware of the reputation it has in the community for past layoffs and is trying to build a culture of hardworking individuals who take pride in their work. It is a laid-back fab shop environment where music is played and individuals work as a team to accomplish tasks. The welders work in pairs to build the chassis. As a whole, the company has over 100 employees.
