Position Overview:
Drive success by providing crucial support, planning, and coordination of materials to our project teams. In this role, you will maintain and deliver invaluable tools, equipment, and resources to professional work crews based in our northern region.
As a member of our Operational Services Department, you will have autonomy to make important business decisions that will directly impact your team members and the function of the operations center to which youre assigned. You will have consistent support, guidance, and membership from your supervisor and experienced colleagues, working with a tight-knit, efficient, and motivated team.
We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills, an eye for detail, comfort with equipment/inventory control, and some computer savvy to join our team. Read on to learn more!
Location & Travel:
- You will be based out of our Operations Center at our Liverpool, NY location with some flexibility to work from other locations
- Some travel (as necessary) to other operations centers, offices, yard locations, and also to attend trainings and offsite team building meetings
- Occasional overnight travel will be included
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and fill all requests for tools and equipment (primarily generated by Project Managers and Field personnel)
- Maintain and update records via our ERP system (Viewpoint Vista)
- Communicate with stakeholders to determine necessary details and share progress and expected delivery dates, maintaining positive, service-oriented relationships
- Maintain daily and weekly schedule of deliveries to be made in the most efficient manner possible while adhering to job delivery deadlines
- Manage stock control – receipt, storage, and retrieval of goods
- Ensure that all warehouse and logistics health and safety requirements are met, including:
- Load securement
- Road worthiness
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and the surrounding area
- May occasionally make deliveries if no other resources are available
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Self-starter/motivated individual who works independently
- Driver record free of moving violations or accidents and the ability to drive company vehicles safely
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Above average computer skills with database experience
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment, trailers, and warehousing equipment and vehicles
Desired:
- Valid CDL strongly preferred
- Leadership/supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Specific expertise in both heavy equipment and boom equipped vehicles (i.e., aerial devices)
- Previous experience in purchasing or procurement
- Ability to flex your schedule during peak demands
