We are seeking an Environmental Services Manager/Lead (Program Manager) to join our Irvine or Los Angeles, CA team!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify, develop, and pursue new environmental business opportunities in Southern California.
Monitor technical trends or regulatory changes that could present business opportunities.
Enhance and grow business relationships with our existing environmental client portfolio.
Assist with the management of environmental investigations, and developing project’s scope, schedule, budget, staff, and subcontractors for new and existing clients,
Provide quality assurance/quality control during the preparation of technical proposals and reports.
Collaborate with project managers and sales staff to create efficient business development strategies for identified leads and existing clients.
Develop new markets and/or clients, expand services offerings with existing clients through cross-selling.
Participate in the training, coaching and development of technical staff.
Represent Atlas at industry related conferences, exhibitions, associations, and functions.
Provide regular updates regarding sales efforts, KPIs, and project performance to executive leadership.
Minimum requirements:
B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
California PE or PG license preferred.
NEPA/CEQA experience preferred.
15 years of experience growing environmental practice and managing environmental projects for public and private sector clients.
Excellent leadership and client management skills.
Effective technical writing, strong oral communication, presentation, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.
Exhibits ability to successfully track and meet budgets and schedules.
Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints.
Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business development, project management and accounting systems.
Demonstrated knowledge and background in the implementation of OSHA and other technical safety and health standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Technical Requirements:
Experience with one or more of the following areas: Sustainability Assurance (ESA, PCA, RI / FS, landfill monitoring / permitting, EHS training); Environmental Assessment & Mitigation (NEPA / CEQA, CERCLA, SWPPs, TSCA, NSR, 404 permitting, AST, UST); Air Quality Consulting & Field Services (regulation compliance support, air dispersion modeling, sampling & inspection, leak detection, emissions reporting, M&A support, LDAR program management, OGI surveys); Industrial Hygiene & Building Sciences (AHERA inspections, IAQ investigations, radon sampling & reporting, microbial investigations, remediation work plans, water intrusion, chemical hygiene, asbestos and lead-based paint consulting & management, disaster response, occupational exposure, noise exposure & ergonomics assessments, COVID & infection control services); Environmental Experts (engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, archeologists, technicians and inspectors); ES&H Trainings (courses offered in person or online)
Compensation:
$140k – $210k annual salary
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
