Job Posting: Physician Assistant – Otology (ENT)
Location: University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Dept of Otology (ENT), UPMC Mercy.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No nights, weekends, or call)
Role: Outpatient clinic with hospital rounding and OR responsibilities.
Preferred Experience: ENT, OR, and/or Inpatient/consult experience.

Responsibilities:
Apply principles of acceptable professional practice.
Formulate a plan of care for patients, involving them as partners and considering their individual needs.
Practice solid communication skills, articulating and translating the patient’s condition to other care providers.
Ensure comprehensive patient documentation to promote communication between caregivers.

Provide trach care and develop improved treatment plans for post-operative patients.
Standardize care and management algorithms and educate residents.
Assist with patient issues on all head and neck patients.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
Eligible for licensure.
CPR certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA standards).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Physician Assistant (PA) or Physician Assistant Osteopathic.
Physician Assistant Certified (NCCPA).
Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearances with renewal.
