This is a unique opportunity to work for a growing non-profit in the Central PA Region. As the CHRO, your responsibilities will focus on strategy, compliance, benefits, employee relations, and policy/procedure. Our client offers a VERY flexible work schedule (1 day a week in the office). In addition, this position may travel locally from time to time. Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the organizations HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.

Lead the strategic planning and implementation of HR initiatives that align with firms mission and goals.

Manage and maintain employee files, including new hire paperwork, clearances, mandated reporter training certificates, and discipline records.

Communicate HR policy changes, news, and resources.

Manage insurance and workers compensation policies and requests.

Negotiate and administer benefits, including medical benefits, retirement accounts, employee wellness plans, and COBRA.

Communicate benefit opportunities and reminders to staff; share resources about available benefits when appropriate.

Monitor compensation through annual salary studies to ensure salary bands remain competitive and in alignment with industry standards.

Assist with payroll processing bi-weekly, ensuring the accuracy of payroll reports.

Oversee coordination and implementation of annual performance reviews.

Support the investigation of employee relations issues to ensure that human resource-related decisions are consistent and fair.

Process employee grievances and perform investigations when needed.

Assess the organizations culture and leverage best practices and industry-specific research to assist with improving culture and increasing employee retention, engagement, and satisfaction.
