Job Summary: Performs a variety of non-routine tasks to ensure RF Performance and production quality standards are met. Performs set-ups, calibration, testing, tuning and troubleshooting of micro-strip circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies, to ensure unit functions according to specifications. Technicians perform very detailed tasks associated with back-end manufacturing to produce mission critical products and devices. Attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity is essential to operate tools and equipment to perform functions such as testing, tuning, troubleshooting and repairing millimeter and microwave frequency components. Job Responsibility: RF tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of complex circuits consisting of both SMT and chip and wire construction from 10MHz to 40 GHz. Launching and testing circuits in fixtures to specifications. Biasing transistors and mmics. Participates in continuous improvement and team building activities. Maintains productive working relationships with all team members. Operation of RF test equipment to make measurements such as: Gain, Gain Flatness, VSWR, P1dB, NF, OIP3/OIP2, Harmonics, phase/phase tracking, and electrical delay. Apply RF theory and Principles and DC Theory (Ohms law). Calibrate test equipment. Proficient in operating test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Noise Figure Meters, DC power supplies, and RF signal generators. Follow ESD and RF test procedures. Required Qualification: High School Diploma 5-7 years relevant experience Familiar with computers (Microsoft Office Suite) Ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken English Preferred Qualification: AS degree preferred Preferred experience in tuning RF thin film circuits Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $50,700 – $101,400 for a Level III at Fremont CA USA.
