[The Position:[We are looking for a candidate who will serve as a Data Fusion Systems Engineer- Journeyman to support PMA-265, the Weapon System Acquisition Program and the F-18 team.

[The Description:
[The Data Fusion Systems Engineer will be responsible for defining and managing requirements at both the platform and component levels for the Data Fusion IPT (Integrated Product Team). The role requires close collaboration with various IPTs within PMA-265, external entities such as PMA-298, and subject matter experts from the Advanced Weapons Laboratory (AWL). The candidate will lead and support key tasks including requirements generation, system integration, verification processes, and the development of modeling and simulation tools. Lead the evaluation, development, and integration of data fusion algorithms and techniques for F-18 aircraft systems. Key responsibilities include:

– Define top-level and lower-level requirements for data fusion systems in conjunction with SMEs from AWL and IPTs within PMA-265.
– Reference existing DRMs from platforms such as the Super Hornet and Growler.
– Interface regularly with SCS Engineering for guidance on requirement documentation, verification methods, and system configuration control.
– Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the development and integration lifecycle, ensuring no gaps and proper flow down/up the requirement chain.

– Oversee the development and implementation of a Data Fusion Evaluation Tool, currently being built in AFSIM by Toyon.
– Facilitate collaboration between AWL, Toyon, and other SMEs to ensure proper use of the tool for data fusion system comparisons.
– Review deliverables, identify metric deficiencies, and contribute to the enhancement of system assessment capabilities.
