We are hiring for a Cross Domain Solutions Sr. Systems Engineer who will provide support to the Army Cross Domain Management Office to include the preparation of cross-domain solutions briefings, information papers and status reports as required for cross-domain solutions management activities and meetings.

Responsibilities

Reviews U.S. federal policy and procedures, to include National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Joint Staff, and DoD, for use of cross domain solutions and provide analysis of compliance with policy and procedure requirements for products in the Army’s information technology architecture and systems that are part of the Army portfolio.

Provides expertise and recommendations to improve the process for actions related to cross-domain solutions in accordance with published policy and procedures and track the status of those actions.

Responsible for implementing the resolution of issues at the guidance of the Government Team Lead as it relates to addressing cross-domain issues and executing actions.

Responsible for review up to 70 proposed cross domain solutions per year (weekly).

Attends monthly meetings to represent Army position on solutions. Write executive summaries and information papers, as required, after attendance at meetings (monthly) and answer email and telephonic queries on cross domain solutions that are being used in the Army (frequency: 4 -10 calls, 5-10 emails daily).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience, or master’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Experience with System Engineering practices in performing system design, integration, verification, validation, and delivery, including multi-security domain network solutions.

Understanding of large, complex C4I System of Systems.

Understanding of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).

Analytical, decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to executive-level stakeholders.

Active DoD 8570 IAT level II certification.

Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Possibility to travel up to 10%.

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working on HQDA staff.

Prior military experience.
