Description and Requirements

We are hiring a recent college graduate to join a dynamic team within Lenovo’s Global Procurement organization which is part of Lenovo’s Global Supply Chain. This team provides support to internal stakeholders and business owners for their software requirements for Lenovo’s PC and Smart Device division. There are multiple important roles within the team including Global Supply Managers who manage the supply of software license keys, Global Commodity Managers who manage the contractual and business relationship with a portfolio of software suppliers, and Global Operations Managers who manage the operational relationship with software suppliers. The team collectively manages over $3B in software spend on an annual basis and has an active portfolio of over 50 suppliers including industry leaders such as Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Dolby, McAfee, and Absolute. The team is about evenly divided as based in the USA and in China, and the team works with stakeholders in all Geographies around the world.

Responsibilities:

Support high-volume supplier management and cross-functional communication.

Support BU and Segment with industry-aligned strategies.

Ensure ongoing supply and cost support.

Collaborate with suppliers, Alliances, Geo teams, Finance, and Cost teams for continuous improvements.

Analyze complex scenarios and anticipate industry trends (including the digital transformation or AI models).

Implement process improvements in procurement operations.

Utilize planning and cost systems to achieve financial targets.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field

Ability to work onsite in Morrisville, NC office

Preferred Qualifications:

General understanding of Software development

Experience working with contracts and/or procurement

Previous relevant internships or project work
