Administrative Specialist

LabCorp is seeking an Administrative Specialist to our team in RTP, NC. This position will be focused on streamlining and coordinating all efforts associated with processes from sample receipt to sample reporting. You will also be expected to take over clerical tasks, data mart report retrieval, Research, troubleshoot and resolve specimen related problems.

The is a 1st Shift position working Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:

Provides phone coverage as needed and provides complete and accurate solutions.

Coordinate project efforts across the organization, including process development, clinical research, project management, and data analysis

Own the research, retrieval and review of specimens accurately

Maintains supply orders and ensures that supplies are restocked as applicable

Performs routine/preventative maintenance on designated equipment by following an established procedure

Attend multiple meetings to make sure departments have the latest updates on the priorities

Compile and evaluate data on standardization and protocols in regard to issues which may include, but are not limited to, methodologies, policies, procedures, and equipment

Make recommendations to management and may coordinate implementation of new equipment/methodologies

Manage project documentation

Maintain appropriate and secure files of laboratory documentation

Requirements:

Requires a High School Diploma with 1-3 years experience or equivalent, but prefer an Associate’s Degree w/5-7 years of experience.

Previous life science industry experience highly preferred

Experience working in a diagnostics clinical laboratory a plus

Computer proficiency — MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. MS Project proficiency a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, deliverables, resource demands, and conflicts
