This is a Shipping Clerk 6:00AM-2:30PM M-F SHIPP003185 position located in the Moselle, MS area.

Job Summary: NoTrax, a Justrite Safety Group company, is looking for a Shipping Clerk for their Moselle, MS operations. This position will be responsible for safely completing the daily activities needed to meet customer specific requirements. This pertains to labeling, cross-docking, drop-shipping, and stock orders in a timely manner. This position pulls orders, verifies accuracy, and uses Best Practices to protect product for shipment.  Loads orders into trucks/containers or small package lines.

 

Responsibilities: Actively pursues continuous improvement, in a team environment, using Lean Tactics to ensure to contribute positively to providing total customer satisfaction, while improving the environment.

Participates in scanned physical inventories as needed. Inspects and checks forklift for safe and proper operation. Completes forklift inspection forms. Determines from sales orders which product to pull and uses Best Practices to match product with sales orders. Thereafter, verifies accuracy. Operates UPS, FedEx, and shipping computers to generate packaging lists and labels for sales orders and transmits EDI to UPS and FedEx. Applies labels, packing list, and any special instructions to packages, including international documents and CSR documents, skid height, special labeling, layer quantities, “fruit basket” packages, placards, routing guidelines. Secures product to skid according to Customer Specific Requirements and/or Best Practices. Lifts packages weighing up to 150 pounds onto small package conveyor and/or skids. Assists in maintaining department in accordance with good housekeeping practices and visual management. Observes all ISO safety and environmental procedures. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

 

Requirements: Ability to read, write and perform basic math. Must have basic computer skills. A high degree of attention is required to ensure injury prevention. Motivated, organized, and can coordinate multi and changing priorities while paying close attention to detail. Ability to move or lift packages weighing up to 75-150 pounds. Ability to use a computer, scanner, calculator, a forklift, pallet jack and packaging equipment (including a staple gun, box knife, shrink wrap machine). Must satisfactorily pass the in-company forklift driver training program.

 

Physical Demands: Rarely sits, reclines, twists, climbs, balances, or crawls.  Occasionally carries, pulls, crouch, squats, kneels, reaches horizontally, reaches below the waist, or reaches above the shoulder.  Frequently pushes, stands, walks. Frequently lifts up to 75 pounds and manipulates up to 150 pounds.

 

Working Conditions: Rarely deals with the outside, low humidity, wetness, slippery surfaces, vibration, confined space, high elevation, noise, chemical irritant, oil, odors, explosives, electrical hazards, and toxic conditions. Occasionally deals with high temperature, high humidity, and low temperature.  Frequently deals with the inside and moving objects.
