Job Summary:  
The Nurse Aide under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN is delegated assignments by the RN to achieve quality patient care.  He/she is involved in the implementation phase of the nursing process and is organizationally accountable to the Director of Nursing.  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide technical care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to collect data and relays appropriate data to nurse and to provide the care needed.

Performance Expectations:
Demonstrate ability to obtain vital signs as needed.
Demonstrate ability to tolerate physically demanding tasks of moving equipment and patients utilizing safety measures for both yourself and/or the patient.
Demonstrate ability to transfer and/or position patients utilizing safety measures for both yourself and/or the patient.
Demonstrate aptitude to learn and follow proper use and operation of equipment you are assigned.
Demonstrate the ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
  
Education/Skills:
Diploma/GED required.
  
Work Experience:
CNA or 6 months Nurse Aide/Healthcare Experience preferred.
