Role:To assist the credit union in the achievement of its goal to always make a positive difference in each members financial life. This is accomplished by providing the highest quality of service to internal/external members, identifying their financial needs and recommending products and services that would meet those needs. The Financial Services Representative is responsible for assisting members within the branch as well as assisting with incoming calls to the credit unions call center. Additionally, you are responsible to support members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explaining services, setting up new accounts, responding to problems, and directing members to the appropriate people. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: While meeting the service standards for the credit union, assist members with opening and closing accounts; perform required transactions; service loans and assist in member inquiries regarding their loans; ensure that all documents necessary are completed accurately and input in computer system in a timely manner; maintain and update member information as required. They should be able to answer questions about products and services and resolve problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations. Act as a liaison between members and various departments or organizations. Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to members.Assure that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared as requested.Performs other duties as assigned.Performance Measurements:1. To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and coworkers and achieve high ratings for Service Excellence.3. To process member transactions with a minimal number of errors.4. To develop and improve knowledge and skills in Financial Services area.5. To attain individual goals and assist in achieving branch and organizational goals.6. To follow the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures, including running OFAC searches, completing investigative reports of suspicious activity and currency transaction reports timely and without error.7. To maintain a professional work environment, promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers andpresent a businesslike appearance.8. To follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity to managerimmediately.Knowledge and Skills:Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.Education A high school education or GED.Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.Other Skills Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
