Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Final Assembly Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Engineer.
The primary responsibilities of this role are project planning, standardization, and systems development for North America.
Reporting to the Final Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Final Assembly’s Departments objective to plan future model activities across North Amercian Manufacturing Companies (NAMC).
What you’ll be doing
Project planning for upcoming model changes
Simultaneous engineering for assembly of vehicle with Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) & Toyota Technical Center (TTC)
Standardize systems and procedures across all NAMCs
New technology investigations and proof of concepts
Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, Production Engineering (PE) support shops, & Plano divisions
What you bring
Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to travel up to 30% to all NAMCs as well as Japan/Canada/Mexico
Ability to work up to 25% overtime including weekends
Manufacturing Engineering experience
AutoCAD experience
MS Office; Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Added bonus if you have
Experience in 2 or more assembly planning functions (Equipment, SE, VP, Logistics, Axle)
Toyota experience
Toyota Business Process (TBP) completion
