The Production Supervisor position at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from ground up .
The BlueOval SK Production Supervisor will lead a respective area and team within the Battery site in Glendale, KY in line with the facility Production System. This role will be responsible for leading a team of hourly employees at the facility including, but not limited to:
Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.
Build Team Leader and Team Member capability.
Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks.
Review production schedules and make suggestions on the labor plans to meet the scheduled requirements.
Manage attendance of operators.
Coach and train operators to develop production skills and technical/general competencies related to production.
Evaluate the operator’s performance and provide productive feedback.
Address complaints and resolve problems of operators.
Assign and direct work according to the production plans.
Responsible for achieving, monitoring, reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Confer with other shift leaders to coordinate activities in related departments.
Interpret company policies to operators to ensure that safety and proves/ qualities policies are followed.
Recommend continuous improvement activities to improve quality and reduce cost.
Collect and voice opinions when the revision and/or establishment of new work procedures are needed.
Manage MES system and logistics regarding the shift he/she supervises.
Run, monitor, and supervise the production operations listed. The operation is mainly conducted by computer-controlled equipment: (Notching, Vacuum Dry, Stacking, Tap-welding, and Packaging)
Monitor and inspect he quality of semi-finished products (electrodes).
Monitor the maintenance and operation status of production equipment in assembly line.
Report incidents or malfunctions of equipment and inquire maintenance according to the trouble correspondence manual.
Monitor and support production environment improvement on light of 3R(Right material, Right quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
Responsible for onsite EHS management activities.
Manage site materials and inventory of the semi-finished products.
Manage inventory of the products pending evaluation and the B-graded products.
Manage the on-site logistics of semi-finished products.

Minimum Qualifications and Key Experiences
High school diploma or GED
At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience
Advanced knowledge of operational tools and procedures obtained through extensive work experience
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Experience with MES preferred
Preferred Qualifications and Key Experiences
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
3-5 years of operations experience in a leadership role
Manufacturing experience including automotive (assembly a plus)
Experience in high volume manufacturing especially in electric component and chemical preferred
Experience with LEAN, SPC, Six Sigma programs preferred
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Knowledge of constraint management principles
This individual will have experience managing high degrees of complexity in processes and communication with all levels of leadership. They will rely on their project management skills and strong business acumen to help deliver business requirements.
A collaborative leadership style is necessary to influence and build meaningful relationships with all cross functional teams.
