Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for our 1st shift (7am-3pm, Monday-Friday) at our clients location. This position offers $18/hr. You may need to arrive 15 minutes before your shift if assigned to the press department. This is a critical role in a machine shop environment, not a warehouse or distribution setting. You will work closely with machine operators, ensuring they have the necessary parts to maintain production. Responsibilities include delivering boxes and pallets to operators, driving a stand-up tow motor and sit-down forklift, navigating tight spaces, and managing finished pallets. This role requires proactive multitasking and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This is a machine shop environment, not a warehouse or distribution setting. The efficiency of the forklift driver directly impacts the production of machine operators. It is the most stressful position in the plant, requiring constant movement and vigilance to meet production quotas.
