Premium Audit Senior Analyst

The Premium Audit Senior Analyst is responsible for resolving audit disputes and discrepancies among Westfield business partners, insurers, and the Premium Audit function. This role reviews and analyzes the operations and exposures identified in premium audit reports and authorizes any necessary changes to the audited General Liability and Workers Compensation classification codes and exposures. This role also serves as a classification expert and provides risk insight to underwriters during the quoting and audit revision process and shares his/her technical knowledge with audit peers, agents, and insureds in support of departmental and other organizational goals.
Successfully resolves Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Garage Dealer premium audit disputes after reviewing the auditors worksheets, prior audits, and other applicable resources by applying industry and company auditing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Collaborates with agents, insureds, and underwriters to effectively resolve and settle premium audit discrepancies. Takes ownership of authorizing and controlling the outcome and conclusion, ensuring accuracy and fairness in the resolution process.
Authorizes classification code additions or changes to General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Business Auto audits while adhering to a multi-state regulatory mandates.
Reviews and authorizes large net additional and return audited premiums outside of our processors authority level before the final audit adjustment is released to the customer.
Serves as subject matter expert for business partners on classifications for both workers compensation and general liability, including new and renewal business.
Reviews and analyzes staff and vendor audits to maintain quality control including the proper application of organizational auditing guidelines and procedures.
Serves as a subject matter expert in collaboration with underwriting units on proper classifications of risks during quoting process.
Mentors and shares technical knowledge with audit team members, agents, and insureds.
Maintains and increases premium audit expertise on all auditable lines of business as well as individual state regulation and governmental body initiatives including Bureau of Workers Compensation investigations.
Advises the collection unit and provides testimony as an expert witness on litigated audit discrepancies.
Instructs audit trainees on risk classification, manual rules, and audit practices and procedures.
May travel occasionally to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.
5 years of experience in Premium Audit or a related field.
Bachelors degree in business administration, Finance or Accounting and/or commensurate work experience.
