Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Science Engineer to lead data projects and processes within our organization, with a focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) using the 3DX platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and engineering, with experience in PLM systems and data transformation. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Lead end-to-end data science projects in the PLM 3DX environment, including requirements gathering, data mining and modeling, ETL process design, and implementation of advanced analytics solutions.
Develop and optimize data models and structures for PLM applications, ensuring seamless integration between legacy systems and the 3DX platform while maintaining data quality and performance.
Spearhead Master Data Management strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to support digital transformation in product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data models with business needs, conduct scientific research to advance data analytics capabilities, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
Expected Areas of Competence
Advanced expertise in data science and engineering, including statistical analysis, machine learning, data modeling, and ETL processes, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
In-depth knowledge of PLM systems (particularly 3DX) and product development processes, coupled with experience in big data technologies and cloud computing platforms.
Strong understanding of data governance, master data management principles, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with proven ability to lead complex data initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, with 5 years of experience in data science roles, including 2 years working with PLM systems (preferably 3DX).
Proven track record of leading complex data projects and driving digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing or engineering industries.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, coupled with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
