Position Summary
We seek a Senior Data Science Engineer to drive our Product Development digital transformation. Youll design and manage ETL jobs, and data pipelines, and create engineering data models. Collaborating across teams, youll create optimized data structures for analytics and Master Data Management. Your role is crucial in transforming complex legacy data into the PLM data model, enabling data-driven product lifecycle management.

Design and implement ETL processes to transform legacy data into the engineering data model.
Develop and optimize data models for PLM applications, supporting digital transformation in product development.
Create data structures and pipelines to enable analytics and reporting for product lifecycle management.
Ensure data quality and integration between legacy systems and the PLM platform.
Optimize query performance and data retrieval processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data models with business needs and PLM requirements.
Expected Areas of Competence
Expertise in ETL processes and data pipeline development, particularly for transforming legacy data.
Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management principles and practices
Advanced SQL skills and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of data modeling techniques, especially in the context of engineering data
Experience with data quality management and data integration across multiple systems.
Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools relevant to product development processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on PLM systems
Proven expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and particularly for transforming legacy data in product lifecycle management contexts.
Strong proficiency in SQL, experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, and knowledge of data quality management and integration across multiple systems
Familiarity with analytics, reporting tools, and Agile methodologies relevant to product development processes and digital transformation initiatives.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, coupled with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
