Overview:The Warehouse Lead is a key resource for the Local Purveyor. It plays a strategic role in both managing inventory and developing new customer relationships while enhancing service levels with the existing customer base. The Brand Leader is accountable for managing warehouse inventory and retail/food service accounts, as well as developing new sales channels. This role requires a demonstrated passion for the Brand, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment. This role requires a flexible schedule with occasional weekend work.
Job Description:Essential Functions
Responsible for warehouse inventory movement, including:
Weekly physical inventory
Weekly delivery check-in
Final order processing, scale operation, and invoicing
Manage short coding to minimize shrink (FIFO)
Lead daily warehouse activities, including directing activities of Associates and Specialists
Train new route employees on warehouse operations
Manage behind-the-counter training for deli associates
Create custom training content from available resources and co-facilitate classroom training (if applicable)
Create Go-Spot-Check missions
Develop new business leads
Expand product line within existing outlets
Work closely with deli management to anticipate changing inventory needs and update inventory levels
Develop and cultivate the in-store relationship through active communication and partnership with store and deli management and the deli team.
Complete additional activities or special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, including basic math and reasoning
Ability to speak and read English
2 years of experience as a Brand Specialist
Successful mastery of Brand Specialist essential functions, requirements, and training
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours
Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs; push or pull objects up to 600 lbs.
Working Conditions
Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment
Training and Certification Requirements
Product knowledge, including species, flavor profile, product handling, slicing technique
Use of internal product and training tools (e.g., TRC, DOCK)
