Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a AI System Architecture Senior Specialist.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 – $176110.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for defining and communicating a shared architectural vision for a complex products (highly integrated, multiple applications) that enables them to support current and future business needs. They will collaborate with Agile teams across the globe to consider solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution.

The System Architect will work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions that are aligned to the broader architecture guardrails.

– Lead and participate in the planning, definition, development, and high-level design of complex product solutions and architectural alternatives

– Enable a continuous delivery pipeline through proper design guidelines

– Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, data storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment approaches

– Establish and communicate critical nonfunctional requirements

– Consider the impact economic boundaries have on design decisions and operate accordingly

– participate in solution planning, incremental planning, product demos, and inspect and adapt events

– Plan and develop the architectural runway for a product that supports desired business outcomes

– Provide technical oversight and encourage security, quality, and automation

– Effectively negotiate with the business to ensure nonfunctional work (e.g. patching, platform upgrade etc.) is properly prioritized and worked on to reduce the accumulation of technical debt over time

– Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into existing systems.

– Collaborate closely with senior IT and business leaders, enterprise architects, and Cyber security teams.

– Oversee the implementation and maintenance of machine learning workflows and manage the lifecycle of large language models.

– Evaluate the performance of AI models, make data-driven recommendations, and fine-tune existing RAG and LLM models to enhance their performance.

– design and optimize prompts to guide the behavior of language models and Provide strategies to improve their accuracy.

– Advise on optimizing token usage for cost-effectiveness and improved performance.

– Utilize Azure AI technologies for the development, deployment, and management of AI solutions.

This Hybrid role must work on-site 3 days weekly at one of the following locations: Beachwood, OH ; Galesburg, MI ; Menomonee Falls, WI ; Raleigh, NC; Moon Township, PA, or Houston, TX. Relocation is not available.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.

• 10 years of overall experience working within the software industry.

• 5 years of software development/ architecture experience leading cloud service projects such as Azure, AWS, and / or GCP.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the posted work location (s) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree Computer Science or Engineering.

• Previous experience as an AI Engineer or similiar ML role.

• Expert level understanding of Azure Open AI, LLMOps, MLOps, Machine learning, RAG, Model Tuning and accuracy evaluation.

• Expert level understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts

• Expert level understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment.

• Extensive experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.

• Solid understanding and proven usage of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP.

• Familiarity with models like LAMA , Mistral etc”

• Ability to work collaboratively on a technical team

• Patience and empathy when working with and coaching developers and testers

• Extensive experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams”
