Welder Technician (Welder Tech)

[Weld Position Overview:

[Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a motivated and experienced production welder to join our team! This position engages in the full scope of MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel including (but not limited to) rigid frame columns, rafters, pipe, beam canopy rafters, small parts, clips, and special assemblies. Welded parts may include thin gauge, painted, or galvanized material. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of welding techniques and have a high attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.

– High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
– A minimum of one (1) year experience welding in a production environment or valid welding certification
– Ability to read blueprints and drawings
– Ability to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certification in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands welding procedures
– Experience with forklift and/or overhead craneoperation a plus

– Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools.
– Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane.
– Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
– Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
– General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
