JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Ryerson has an opportunity for a
Outside Sales Representative. As a Outside Sales Representative you are
responsible for building and growing transactional relationships with
new and existing customers. The future will be made from metal. At

Roles and Responsibilities: Quickly builds strong relationships with
contacts at while promoting Ryersons E-commerce capabilities
Understands the goals and concepts of our business and incorporating
these goals to achieve sales profitability targets Works closely with
our inside sales team, credit center, inventory managers, and other
departments within the company Keeps customers informed about
industry and economic trends and Ryersons ability to assist customers
in adapting to change while managing daily call planning and execution
Understands and monitors the competitive environment and provides
market intelligence to sales management to help shape service center
sales strategies, price levels and working capital decisions
Increases revenue from assigned customers by selling value added
services and programs; grows new business by increasing sales through
profitable transactional growth Manages customer accounts including
implementation of memorandums of understanding margin analysis,
competitive market information and quality improvement initiatives All
other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may
change at any time with or without notice Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree preferred (preferably in marketing, business or a
related field of study) or related experience Minimum of 1-3 years
previous sales experience in metals service center industry or similar
industrial sales background / industry Proficiency with MS Office a
must, SAP and Salesforce.com experience highly desired Strong
business acumen with excellent customer service, interpersonal and both
oral, and written communication skills; persuasive negotiation skills
Effective problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to
maintain confidentiality Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability
to build strong relationships quickly Keen attention to detail with a
strong aptitude for math Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
