Responsibilities

This opportunity is for a speech language pathologist position in our busy outpatient pediatric practice. Our pediatric team provides speech and language services in various multi-disciplinary clinics as well as individual evaluation and therapy services for a wide variety of patient populations. Participating in staff/division meetings; and involvement in designated committees/special interest groups/tasks forces

Qualifications

Masters degree in speech/language pathology, one year of experience in speech pathology required. This is not a clinical fellowship position.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Licensed by the State of Minnesota Department of Health in Speech-Language Pathology

Experience and training specifically related to the pediatric population desired .

Experience administering pediatric speech and language assessments.

Strong skills in differential diagnosis of childhood communication disorders.

Experience evaluating and treating children with autism spectrum disorder.

Experience with evaluation and treatment of severe speech sound disorders including childhood apraxia of speech.

Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.

Compassionate, team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred skills but not required for consideration

Extra training/skills with special populations—autism (i.e., ADOS training), motor-based speech treatment approaches, craniofacial/VPI evaluation, cochlear implant/hearing loss, and AAC.

Understanding of complex medical pediatric patients desired.
