Need 6 full-time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Gonvick, MN. From: 12/16/2024 to 03/04/2025 Work: Mon.- Sat. 8 hrs./day; 48 hrs./week. Regular work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Workers will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2). Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 01/25/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Inspecting, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including operating dryers to pull down moisture content of corn; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors such as Case Quadtrack, tractor-drawn machinery such as 1000 bushel grain cart. Load agricultural products into non CDL trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Use snow blade to clear snow from farmstead and grain storage. Work includes exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather, crops, or need. Employer may pay workers more depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as job performance, skill, punctuality. Employer will provide all work-related tools, equipment and supplies and no cost to the worker. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months recent and verifiable experience for duties listed. Class D license or obtain within 30 days Class D drivers license following hire, and obtain clean driving record. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. After hire, may be required to take random drug test at no cost to worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
