Automotive/Diesel Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel/Automotive Mechanic to join our team in an A/C and air controlled newly constructed shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment. An option to work four (4) 10 hour shifts in lieu of 8 hour shifts is an option for our employees. Paid vacation and sick time. Monthly bonus to go towards health insurance is also offered.
Responsibilities
– Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
– Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles
– Conduct brake repairs and replacements
– Perform welding tasks as needed
– Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately
– Maintain and repair agricultural equipment such as tractors, combines, tillage implements, etc.
– Handle tractor-trailer maintenance and repairs
-Must have own tool box and hand tools or be willing to purchase own tools
Experience
– Proficiency in using hand tools for mechanical work
– Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
– Experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
– Familiarity in working with agricultural equipment is a plus
– Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and repair
– Expertise in brake repair for heavy-duty vehicles
– Competence in automotive diagnostics
– Welding experience is not required but would be very helpful
