HDR is currently in need of a Wastewater Market Sector Leader to work as a member of our Water Business Group in Montana.
The primary duties of the Wastewater Market Sector Leader are:
- Under the supervision of the Water Business Group (WBG) Manager, provide leadership and team guidance for HDRs Wastewater projects.
- Manage projects and collaborate with other Project Managers and WBG team members to develop and deliver projects for clients.
- Develop and grow business development relationships with clients.
- Perform supervisory duties for the Wastewater section staff including time/expense approvals, monitoring utilization, workload planning, annual performance conversations, and similar responsibilities.
- In collaboration with Project Managers, manage the financial aspects of Wastewater projects, and coordinate and adjust staffing to ensure the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule and budget.
- Provide overall project delivery excellence for Wastewater projects executed by the team.
- Manage projects and provide engineering support on projects.
- Work closely with the project engineers, engineers in training and CAD/GIS professionals to execute planning level projects including reports, and other technical documents.
- Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated solutions and support business development opportunities.
- Perform QA/QC of internal and external deliverables
- Be responsible for identifying staff training needs or providing training as established by strategic plans and objectives.
- Mentor staff and help develop their professional abilities.
- Provide technical knowledge and support to the section, including engineering standards, Montana regulations, best practices, and project management tools.
- Develop and review scope and fee proposals.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
