Work Location:This position will be based at our Sedalia, MO location.
Hours: 40 hours per week, including Saturday rotation
Job Purpose: Prepares loan documents for closing of consumer, agricultural, commercial and real estate loan products to ensure compliance and quality of loan documentation for funding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Provides administrative assistance to the loan officers including updating loan data for entry into the financial institutions computers and assembling loan documents.
– Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
– Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation.
– Checks documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.
– Completes lien searches and filings; maintains current liens by filing continuations when needed; completes filings to perfect security interests in collateral.
– Maintains new and paid loan files. Performs a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures. Uses office computers for data input and other activities and orders credit reports.
– Completes quality checks of loan packets, document deficiencies, and resolves exceptions with loan officers.
– Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing.
– Carries out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others in accordance with the Banks policies.
– Assists other departments on a temporary basis as needed during peak hours.
– Assist customers with routine account-related requests such as: funds transfers, automatic funds transfers, stop payments, inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges, inquiries about debit card usage and limits, inquiries about checking and savings accounts transactions, inquiries about funds availability, and check verification requests by third parties.
– Cashes checks, cash withdrawals and processes cash advances; pays out money after verification of signatures.
– Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
– Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records.
– Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
– Responsible for checking night depository bags with dual control and recording proper information in the financial institutions forms.
– Open all types of deposit accounts.
– Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Previous experience processing consumer real-estate loans.
– Six months to one year of experience in an office environment.
– Successful completion of in-house training program (if available) or approved outside training program.
– Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
Physical Requirements:
– Manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
– Bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
– AbilitytosafelyandsuccessfullyperformtheessentialjobfunctionsconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandother federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
– Abilitytomaintainregular,punctualattendanceconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandotherfederal,stateand local standards.
– Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
