Job Description
Summary/Objective
The EFuT Technician I position applies basic knowledge and experience to
solve routine technical or system problems; those that typically are
able to be solved solely by reference to maintenance manuals or similar
documents. At this level, the incumbent may have their work reviewed by
a EFuT Tech III or II for general compliance with accepted practices.
Essential Functions

Applies working technical/non-technical knowledge to perform simple or
routine tasks in support of work on various devices, while following
detailed instructions which encompass all procedures.
Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or
higher-level technician and work is reviewed for specific compliance
with accepted practices and work assignments.

activities.
Monitors and tracks the repair status of inoperative equipmentand
documents maintenance activitiesutilizing the logistics
managementdatabase system.(Documentingmaintenance activitiesinclude but
are not limited to:work order generation and updates, repair action
documentation, issuing, returning, and adjustinginventory, ensuring
inventory records are up to date and accurate,and other material control
duties as assigned.)
Assist students and instructors in the operation of the training devices
to include Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities (e.g., set
up, power-on/off, daily operational readiness testing, initialization,
and other assistance as required).
Uses knowledge of simulator and aircraft systems to interpret technical
data.
Interprets and works with computer systems utilizing various and
multiple operating systems.
Diagnoses malfunctions and repairs aircraft subsystems, mechanical
components, airframe, power system, HVAC system, computers, and
associated equipment .
Performs systems interface/fault isolation on aircraft systems and
simulation.
Interprets mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic schematics
and drawings and makes simplified versions where aircraft to simulation
interfaces exist.
Conduct inventory inspections, update, and record stock levels, and
report the status, excess inventory, and obsolescence issues to the
C-130J MATS CLS Mgr.
Monitor and report failure-prone or obsolete parts to the C-130J MATS
CLS Mgr. in-accordance-with program processes.
Utilize program EDMS to support inventory levels, off-site repairs,
transactions, and calibration requirements.
Maintains good relations with customers and ensures information flows
within technical organization.
Learns device requirements, system design standards, tools and
procedures.
Requires use of block, wiring and schematic diagrams to trace basic
circuits.
Ensure staff compliance with health, safety, security, and local base
procedures.
Competencies
Required skills and abilities to effectively perform this position
include, but are not limited to:

test equipment to perform pre- and post-operational tests on installed
equipment to perform preventive maintenance using preventative
maintenance cards and instruction books.
Must possess skills necessary to diagnose and isolate malfunctions i
electronic systems; align, adjust and calibrate installed training
devices; interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic
schematics and prepare simplified versions.
Must possess skills to perform calibrations, adjustments and tests on
electronic equipment; analyze operation, verify discrepancies, isolate
malfunctions and replace defective components used in installed devices
Must possess and maintain proficiency in the use of diagnostic programs,
interpretation of results, and the use of program listings to isolate
faults and be adept in the use of test equipment, repair of
micro/miniature printed circuit boards, electro/mechanical systems and
devices to include projection display systems, computer controlled
motion and electronic control loading system
