SUMMARY
The Database Administrator III, or DBA, is responsible for overseeing
the maintenance and security measures of supported databases. Support
will include monitoring and updating malware protection software to
combat potential security breaches, creating account data for authorized
individuals to access databases and organizing databases so individuals
can find important documents in an efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as
required by the contract.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for
access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Knowledge of software programming, development, review, audit, testing,
configuration management requirements and changes.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with performance tuning.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Identifies and implements database requirements for new or existing
applications by collaborating with other teams.
Plans and executes database upgrades and maintenance activities,
ensuring data security compliance.
Optimizes database performance by evaluating existing setups and
recommending improvements.
Provides support to users and developers, offering guidance on best
practices and resolving complex data-related issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and five to seven (5-7)
years related experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required
to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach
with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer,
and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to
stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift
and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light
traffic.
