Castle Rock Grading Foreman

Schmidt Construction is seeking a Grading Foreman work at our Castle Rock
location in Castle Rock, Colorado. The Grading Foreman will be responsible
for safely supervising a prep crew and ensuring high quality products and
services.
Pay: 60-80k
Shift: Varies Based on Projects

Responsibilities
The Grading Foreman will:
Ensure safety procedures and policies are followed
Direct the work team to maintain production requirements
Assign work schedules
Plan, prep, and perform the grading project
Maintain material yield
Ensure that quality specifications are maintained
Provide repair services on a timely basis
Understand the specifications and materials for the job
Maintain inventory of material and tools
Communicate with the asphalt plant personnel, estimators, trucking
operations and other production staff
Conduct morning job safety awareness meetings with crew
Attend Foreman meetings as required
Coordinate truck usage
Ensure that job sites are cleaned up
Complete reports, logs, and records as required, including daily
equipment checklists, equipment hours, labor hours and material
quantities, etc
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Supervisory skills
Mechanical aptitude
Valid drivers license
Verbal and written communication skills
High School Diploma
Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors, tolerate multiple terrain and environmental
variations
