Position Purpose
Provide staff accountant level support and activities to ensure that accurate financial information is recorded and produced in a timely manner. Prepare a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly entries and reconciliations. Provide backup support to other accounting functions as needed.
Essential Functions
– Prepare daily and monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
– Review and assist with daily deposit balancing and related accounts.
– Monitor and research various GL account activities.
– Assist with bank wires and cashiers check activities.
– Assist with month end and quarter end closing activities including journal entries, review, and reporting.
– Prepare monthly general ledger balance sheet reconciliations.
– Maintain support files regularly provided for audits and reviews.
– Cross-train and provide backup support Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.
– Provide high level of customer service to those that the team supports.
– Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
– Bachelors degree in accounting (in process or completed) required.
– Typically requires two (2) years of relevant accounting experience, including demonstrated experience in general ledger systems.
– A combination of education and experience that demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
– Strong analytical and communication skills.
