JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: WITHDRAWAL MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: WITHDRAWAL MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR

A. Definition 

 Responsible for the management and care of patients in the Withdrawal                                                                         Management unit. 

B. Minimum Qualifications

1. All personnel providing patient care, except Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDP) and SUDP Trainees (SUDPT), shall complete a minimum of forty hours of documented training before assignment of patient care duties.

The personnel training shall include:

(II)[              ]{times=”” new=”” roman”;=”” display:=”” inline-block”=””}HIV/AIDS and hepatitis B education;

(III)[           ]{times=”” new=”” roman”;=”” display:=”” inline-block”=””}TB prevention and control; and

(IV)[           ]{times=”” new=”” roman”;=”” display:=”” inline-block”=””}Detox screening, admission and signs of trauma.

2. All personnel providing patient care shall have current training in:

(I)[                ]{times=”” new=”” roman”;=”” display:=”” inline-block”=””}Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR);

(II)[              ]{times=”” new=”” roman”;=”” display:=”” inline-block”=””}First Aid.
