CAS is currently seeking Cheminformatics Scientist Interns for Summer 2025 in the Content Operations Division. This position would be in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The program will run May 19th-August 8th.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced intern to join our cross-functional team, supporting the analysis of chemical information and development of training models for Machine Learning. Candidate with strong background in cheminformatics is highly desired.
Job Accountabilities:
Support analysis, visualization and interpretation of chemical structures and chemical names for training machine learning models.
Maintain detailed records of various activities and contribute to the documentation of methodologies and findings.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including chemists, biologists, and data scientists, to support various projects.
Connect across the organization through the Summer Intern Program to build influential working relationships, preparing your career for tomorrow.
Stay abreast of the latest trends through individual and team training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Cheminformatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Background in programming languages such as Python and Java is a plus.
Self-motivated individual with a passion for accuracy and attention to detail.
