Job Summary
Director, Nordson Foundation & Corporate Giving is responsible for creating strategies and leading activities related to the Nordson Corporation Foundation and Corporate Giving, which includes fostering positive relationships with community members, non-profit organizations, and fellow employees within Nordson. This role will also leads Nordson Impact, the portfolio of programs that manage the Nordson Foundation, the Community Relations, Matching Gifts, Time n Talent (volunteerism), A Time to Give (annual campaign), the BUILDS Scholarship program and corporate donations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Director, Nordson Foundation & Corporate giving will be responsible for:
Creating strategies and policies and executing activities to ensure high level achievement of Foundation and Corporate giving goals and outcomes.
Creating strategies to enhance Nordsons reputation through partnerships and volunteer initiatives.
Building goodwill, fostering positive perceptions, and promoting the organizations image in local communities where Nordson does business
Designing and maintaining the global charitable giving budget, including overseeing its allocation and distribution.
Partnering with corporate communications to promote Nordsons mission.
Collaborating with various stakeholders in the community and internal partners while engaging our employees to ensure company-wide programs deliver maximum impact.
Ensuring a Foundation culture of integrity, accountability, and responsibility.
Oversee global implementation of community related programs.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree required
Experience:
Minimum 10 years experience in leading corporate foundations and community relations
Skills and Abilities
Ability to lead and influence multiple stakeholders (external and internal).
Organizational skills necessary to manage project plans, budgets, documents, and deliverables.
Experience in designing and implementing community outreach programs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Possess and apply excellent problem-solving skills to continuously improve all processes and practices within area of responsibility through simplification.
Self-starter with a knack for compelling communications (oral and written).
Keen understanding of the importance of strong community relations, and the skills to moderate between the company and the communities served.
High attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in public forums.
Strong MS office skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel) and variety of eLearning platforms and tools.
Travel Required
